Biology-Informed Psychiatry:
Translating Neurometabolic Biology Into
Clinical Insight

Psychiatry relies largely on symptoms and clinical observations. HealthyMentis translates neurometabolic biology into patient profiles that support patient stratification, clinical decision-making, and individualized treatment design across conditions such as ADHD, depression, anxiety, and fatigue.

While most biological approaches in psychiatry rely on single, static measurements, HealthyMentis uses multi-timepoint measurements to better understand biological variability associated with symptom expression and treatment response.

Analytical Framework

The HealthyMentis analytical framework is designed to capture biological dynamics through structured, multi-dimensional data.

It combines:

Rather than evaluating isolated metabolite levels, the HealthyMentis system analyzes how metabolites relate to each other within pathways and how these relationships change over time. This analytical framework is designed to capture biological patterns that are not visible in single-point measurements.

Exploratory Data and Early Findings

HealthyMentis conducted an exploratory analysis of 74 individuals with attention- and mood-related symptoms. The statistical analyses were independently reviewed by a U.S.-based Clinical Research Organization (CRO), resulting in four scientific abstracts and five case reports.

Key observations included:

  • Statistically significant associations between selected neurometabolic indicators and symptom groups
  • Reproducible neurometabolic patient profiles across subsets of patients
  • Early signals suggesting relationships between neurometabolic profiles and treatment response

These observations suggest that neurometabolic profiling may provide clinically relevant biological context beyond symptom assessment alone. Based on this framework, HealthyMentis developed a clinical decision support and treatment design tool that integrates patient-specific neurometabolic profiles, pathway-level interpretations, and symptom information to support clinical evaluation and individualized treatment design.

Research Direction

HealthyMentis research focuses on evaluating the clinical use of neurometabolic insights in real-world settings. The focus is primarily on investigating how this methodology can:

  • Provide clinically interpretable neurometabolic information that complements symptom-based evaluation.
  • Support patient profiling and biological stratification based on pathway patterns.
  • Inform individualized treatment design through identification of relevant neurometabolic dynamics.
  • Improve the transparency, consistency, and usefulness of clinical decision-making.

This work supports the development and validation of a clinical decision support and therapy optimization (CDS/TxO) tool by assessing whether the analytical framework provides clinically relevant, interpretable information.

The focus is not to establish stand-alone diagnostic biomarkers, but to evaluate whether the technology generates clinically interpretable information that clinicians can independently review and use alongside their clinical judgment.
